CONDUCT OF THE MEMBER – GUEST TOURNAMENT

March, 2010

Choice of Teams:

If you wish to indicate what other 2-man team you want to play with in this tournament, please indicate your choice on the sheet for this in the MGA notebook in the Pro Shop. Each Member- Guest team has a number beside it and a column in which you can place the number of the team you want to join you in your foursome. Those not indicating a choice will be paired with another 2- man team by the golf pro.

Game:

1. Tournament format is best ball of two (Member and Guest) for both Gross and Net scores. The participants will be divided into three flights by handicap/index. No team can win both Gross and Net contests in their flight. If a team does score the best in each category, they will be named winner of the Gross contest. The next two teams in the Net contest will be declared 1st and 2nd place winners of that contest. Each flight will have 4 team winners – 2 gross and 2 net – and each person on each team gets a prize. Prizes for both the Gross and Net contests are the same.

2.       Closest to the pin and longest putt contests will be held for both members and guests on specific holes. The Guest Closest to the Pin contest is on Holes 4 and 13 with the MemberÕs on Holes 7 and 17. Longest putt holed for guests is on Hole 9 and for members on Hole 18.

3. The ÒYellow BallÓ (the Ball) contest will award one prize per flight for each member of the 4-man team who retains the Ball for the greatest number of holes AND who has the lowest net team score for the round, using the score obtained with the Ball. The Ball must be rotated equally among the four players until it is lost or the round is completed. The 4-man team score for this event on each hole is the net score of the player using the Ball. The player whose turn it is to play the Ball must play the Ball from tee to final putt on that hole unless he loses it. Each team who loses the Ball on any hole should record on which hole AND stroke the Ball was lost. In case of a tie within the flight in both the number of holes (and strokes played if the Ball is lost) and the net score using the Ball, the lowest net score using the Ball on each succeeding hole beginning with the lowest handicap hole decides the winning team within that flight (# 5, # 15É.).

There will be 42 chances to win one of the prizes above! Additionally, there will be:

1. A Hole-in-One opportunity on EACH par-3 hole with the 13th hole offering a prize of $10,000. No current or prior professional golfer is eligible to win any Hole-in-One prize. Again, no mulligan ball can win any individual prize.

2. A Ò13th ballÓ opportunity on the 13th Hole where, if any participant purchases a ball for $5 and his ball, hit from the tee, comes to rest on the green, he gets his $5 returned. If the ball, hit from the tee, comes to rest inside the circle around the hole (diameter of 30 feet), he receives $10. Again, no mulligan ball can win any individual prize.

3. A raffle drawing for prizes after lunch. Players enter this drawing by signing their ÒMulliganÓ slip that they can purchase at registration. Each player may purchase ONE Mulligan, good from tee to green (not for putts), for $5. No contest can be won when using a Mulligan.

Tees:

This event will be from the white tees. Members eligible to play from the black tees (5 black tee scores in the handicap system) may do so. Guests who choose to play from the black tees may do so. A guestÕs white tee score as computed from his index will be lowered by 2 strokes, taken on the appropriate holes. Please indicate if your guest used the black tees on your scorecard.

If your guest wants to play from the Black Tees, please complete the form below and give it to The Golf Professional in the Pro Shop by the Monday before the event. If The Golf Professional has no form from you, then your guest should play from the white tees.

Posting Scores:

Scores should not be posted because of the potential use of the mulligan opportunity. If you or your partner already has a good score on any hole and one of you cannot beat his partnerÕs score, please Òpick upÓ the ball to speed play. However, if you are playing the Yellow Ball on any particular hole, you must finish the hole with that ball (unless you lose it) to determine your net score for the Yellow Ball contest (Game #3 above). Yellow Ball players must finish the hole even if your partner has a better net score than you do for the better ball Gross and Net contests.

Tournament Committee:

The committee consists of the Pro Shop Professional(s) plus 3 MGA members of the Member-Guest Executive Committee.
